I will be holding a Natural Birth Preparation Workshop at my cottage in Scarborough from 10am – 5pm on Sunday the 20th of May 2012.
Due to the intimate (and beautiful) location of this workshop, I am regrettably only able to host six couples at a time, but if I receive an overwhelming amount of interest I may add another date.
Workshop Details
Morning Session: The physiology of labour and natural birth including emotional and mental preparation, after which we will break for a light lunch.
Afternoon Session: Practical exercises to equip parents with the tools for labour, birth and the post-birth period. We will cover homebirth, as many parents are choosing this option. We will also do an exercise to communicate with the unborn baby and introduce breastfeeding principles and tips.
- Date: Saturday 20th May 2012
- Time: 10h00 to 17h00
- Venue: Good Hope Cottage, Good Hope Nature Reserve – Map
- Cost: R750.00 per couple
- Lunch: Please bring a light lunch with you (one dish to share)
- Bring cushions and a cotton throw/blanket for exercises and comfort
The environment truly is an exquisite one with facilities for only six couples, so do try to book early.

Map and Directions
Directions: It’s on the road to Cape Point from Scarborough. Pass through Scarborough, then follow the road to the right once you reach the triangle at the bottom of Redhill. The curio sellers at the Cape Farmhouse will be on your left. Follow the road two km, and on the left will be a small white sign saying “Good Hope Nursery”. Turn left into the entrance (dirt road) and drive through the nursery towards the mountain. There will be a pile of wood on your right. Drive up the hill to the end of the road. Park on the side and walk to cottage in view.
Awesome Marianne! Wish I could attend….
Will call you soon
Hugest love
